Speaker:Dr. Jorge A. Pérez-Pineda

Dr. Jorge A. Pérez-Pineda, economist by the National University Autonomous of Mexico (UNAM), holds a Master degree and PhD in International Economics and Development by the Complutense University of Madrid, with postgraduate studies at University of Essex and a specialization on Global Governance by the German Development Institute (DIE). He is co-editor of the book “Institutional Architecture & Development: Responses from emerging power”. (JACANA and SAIIA 2015). Has been consultant for Mexican and international institutions such as AMEXCID, CONACYT, IICA, UNDP, GIZ, AECID, Endeva, among others. As academic he teaches and does research at UNAM, Iberoamerican University, and Mora Institute, as published many books and articles. He is part of the National Research System in Mexico (SNI 1) and networks such as REMECID, REEDES, NEST and MGG. His work focuses on financing development, institutional aspects of South-South Cooperation, Corporate Social Responsibility and the link between private sector and international cooperation. Currently he is research professor at Anahuac University México and part of the research group on the 2030 Agenda in the Complutense University of Madrid.
